    Hello,

Has anyone managed to get buggy boy working on mame as I’m have no luck? It’s one of my favourite games along with Operation Wolf, hopefully some sort of lightgun will be available for the pi one day.

I don’t see a Buggy Boy rom in mame? Do you know the zipfile name?

Not sure I’m allowed to say the full zip name, but something like buggyb or buggybjr and buggyboy as there is a cockpit and stand up version.

it’s not on the mame2003 romset 0.78 game list so it’s not supported

I ran it with latest lr-mame based upon the MAME release. Buggyboy ran at 27% speed and Jr ran at 47% on my overclocked pi 2.

And just for you, here it is:

Thanks, I wonder if the pi3 will run it any faster.

When I tried Jr in mame-adv if doesn’t run at all so I will have to see where I went wrong.

What tool did you use to get their running speeds please?

It’s a game that requires a newer version of mame than most. Hit f11 in mame to see speed info.

Thanks, love that game too, plus Operation Wolf, but light guns only work with CRT screens I think.
