Hey all, I new to RPi and RetroPie and I could use some help.

First off, here’s my setup: RPi 2B running RetroPie 3.1 installed from RetroPie SD image.

I currently have it setup to work with a wired 360 Afterglow Controller. Everything looks to be working fine in Emulation Station, but when I start any emulator I get no response. I can wait there for a little while then eventually the controller starts to work. I don’t get why there is such a long delay before being able to use my controller. I thought it was just the emulator I was using at that moment, but I see it across the board with any emulator.

More than likely I’ll be switching up to two wireless PS3 controllers, or build a retro style arcade joystick setup but I would like to get this corrected before introducing more variables into my problem.

Any tips?
