    Hello,

    I have a raspberry pi with Emulationstation 2.3 (https://www.petrockblock.com/retropie/)

    I have update my 2 NES30 (http://www.nes30.com/) on firmware 2.5

I have follow this great tutorial in french:

    http://www.open-consoles-news.com/2014/10/raspberry-pi-realiser-une-retro-gaming.html

My 2 controllers are connected on bluetooth.

    I start with START+R

I play with emulator retroarch (Nes) : my dpad don’t work :( but buttons are ok

I play with emulator osmo (GameGear) or gPsp (GBA) : my dpad+buttons work

    If I start with START

    I play with emulator retroarch (Nes) : all work with a little trick in retroarch.cfg (input_player1_left = “nul”, input_player1_right = “nul”,input_player1_up = “nul”, input_player1_down = “nul”)

I play with emulator osmo (Gamegear) or gPsp (GBA) : all work with only one player (The second controller move the player 1 because the controllercis mapped on the keyboard)

I don’t understand the difference between the 2 starts and why with the START+R doesn’t work ?

I have posted the same post on the forum of https://www.petrockblock.com and http://forum.8bitdo.com/thread-285-1-1.html

    Thanks a lot for helping

i haven’t tried that yet, but you could try to install python-cwiid and the other config steps following this tutorial:

Tutorial to get wiimotes with classic controllers to work with RetroPie

and try to connect the nes30 controllers via wiimote mode. START+Y

There is a new Firmwareversion for the NES30 -> Released 19.01.2015

    8Bitdo GamePad Firmware v2.52
1.Modified Mode 2 (START+B+R) secondly key code. D-Pad change from arrow key to normally letter, in order work with emulator better.
2.Added PC Joystick mode(power up START+R and connect to PC). D-Pad works as Joystick D-Pad, not a keyboard arrow key.

    Maybe this helps ;)
