On July 30, 2025, the U.S. Executive Order “Suspending Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment For All Countries” came into effect. This removes the previous duty exemption for low-value packages and introduces new procedural requirements that are still being defined by U.S. Customs and the United States Postal Service. I’ve been having similar problems with my PS3 Dualshock 3 controller via USB. I just tried a powered USB hub with no improvement during controller setup. The hub power supply is rated at 2 amps so it should be plenty to handle the controller.
