Migrating controls from old image to 3.0?

Hello,

I have downloaded retropie 3.0 onto a new SD card and the next task is to copy my roms and controls over. The thing is my controls were done for me as part of a bartop, I guess I can use Winscp to copy the control files over but what do I need to copy over as I use, Neogeo, fb, mame, adv mame, mega drive and snes?

I’m sure there must be a guide somewhere?
