    I somehow lost (ie deleted) the original theme for 2.x and cannot find it anywhere to download. I found some 1.x themes but they are compatible compatiable with the 2.x version…

    Is there any place I can get the 2.x theme?

    you can re-install the theme by running

    
sudo ./retropie_packages.sh esthemesimple
