On July 30, 2025, the U.S. Executive Order “Suspending Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment For All Countries” came into effect. Hello I am designing a RetroPie console (with permission of course) and I want to create some concept art for the console to get 3D printed. I bought the supplies and made a retropie console for my little brother, the console also streams movies and is running a linux desktop. After it was done he began telling all his friends and now I have a few people asking for one. I told them how to build one but they didn’t want to go through the hassle. Anyways back to my main issue; the concept art. I am horrible at sketching and design and was hoping some aspiring artists would like to contribute their talent. So my questions are:
Would anybody be interested in doing a custom design for me?
Or would everybody rather me hold a contest and the winner gets a prize or something?
By console I mean a console with custom packaging, user guide, warranty, etc. I am also inquiring about custom controllers designed just for this console.
I have secured the funding to produce a handful of prototypes. So I am looking for a distinctive housing that will be easy and affordable to mass produce.
So what is everybody’s thoughts? Concept Art contest?
Or is anybody bored enough to draw me up something? :D
Just submit your feedback on this thread.
Thanks!
