If you are using the default MAME emulator through emulationstation the config file is in “/home/pi/RetroPie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg

(see command in es_systems.cfg:
COMMAND=retroarch -L /home/pi/RetroPie/emulatorcores/imame4all-libretro/libretro.so –config /home/pi/RetroPie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg –appendconfig /home/pi/RetroPie/configs/mame/retroarch.cfg %ROM%
