Go to etc/emulationstation/themes. Select the folder that shares the name with theme that you are currently using, say it is the simple theme, go to the simple folder. Then go to the nes folder and open the theme.xml. under the MD_image line, change size and Max size to the coordinates the work for you. I hope that works, I can’t check right now, for I am not home.
