Will the GPIO fit the wider GPIO port on new raspberries?

Yes, you just have to put the GPIO adapter on the outer most GPIO pins 1,2, … .

Thanks for reply! The GPIO adapter works great on my older Raspberry from 2012, but not on my latest RaspberryPI v2, I have a 1.2 GPIO adapter and set so in Retropie-Setup… Emulationstation is detecting the “gamepad” but there is no response when I press the buttons, same goes for testButton app, it wont register any push

I also tried the update https://github.com/petrockblog/SNESDev-RPi#installation.

    Any ideas? :-)

I found it out…. I forgot a important step in https://github.com/petrockblog/SNESDev-RPi#installation. which was:

    sudo make installservice
