I’ve managed to get a lot of this working after another fresh image install. However, the issue remains with PocketSNES. It seems incapable of working with 2 controllers, and rendering all SNES games with multiplayer useless. What a bust.

There used to be an issue with a supposed resolution here: https://github.com/retropie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/158

Unfortunately, I checked my latest files after I did a source-based install of pocketsnes and my files incorporate the edit recommended in the “solution” referenced, but my 2nd controller still doesn’t work in SNES games without me holding down a button on my 1st controller.

I wouldn’t mind using PiSNES, but setting up the controller configurations for that emulator is just as much of a pain in the ass.
