    Hi there, I installed the RetroPie image on my Pi but I’m having some trouble with it. The first is that the SNES9X emulator included doesn’t recognise my controller, and the default settings for the pad result in the X and Y buttons being assigned to the same button on the control pad. I looked this up, but the configuration file other sites mentioned doesn’t seem to exist.

    On the GBA side, gsps seems to be having trouble booting any roms. It recognises the bios, which as far as I can tell seems to be valid, and starts running the GBA emulator, but on the Game Boy splash screen it shows the logo with a corrupted version of the nintendo logo and just stays there. I can’t seem to find any information on what might be causing that though

    I’d really appreciate it if anyone could help out with these issues. Once those are working I’ve basically got the issue I was after out of the pi build

    You best bet it to enter the retropie script and download pisnes for source. Once this is downloaded and compiled you should have a folder called Pisnes in the emulators directory. There will be a file call snes9x.cfg that

    Did what you suggested, but I just pulled the .cfg file out of the repository and dropped in the pisnes directory, which seems to have done the job. Just need to get the GBA working now. Thanks for the advice!

    For the gba you need the bios file I the emulator directory.

    Saw that when I was looking into the problem, the bios file is already in the raspberrypi directory. I tried having it in the gpsp *and* the raspberrypi directory and it didn’t make a difference

    I also tried pulling the bios from my PSP which is running GPSP Kai, but didn’t have any luck with that either (it works fine on the PSP)

    Bumping since it was marked as resolved when it was only partially resolved. Still haven’t been able to get GPSP working on the pi, even with a working bios taken from another device running GPSP. Anyone know what else I can try to get it working?
