    Alright, so we have the default retroarch.cfg, which can be overridden by All/retroarch.cfg, which in turn can be overridden by the EmulatorSpecific/retroarch.cfg, but is there a way to further override that config file depending on which ROM you are using?

    For example, when I boot Super Street Fighter, I would like the controller layout to be different from when I boot up Super Mario World.

    Currently this is not possible. This would be a feature for the front-end Emulation Station and could be proposed at the repository at https://github.com/Aloshi/EmulationStation/issues?state=open.
