ParticipantI’m trying to run the zx-spectrum emulator and have installed fuse.
I get the following message selecting a game in emulationstation:
Error folder with path “home/pi/RetroPie/roms/fba is not a directory!ory!
Fuse:(2143) : Gtk Warning cannot open display.
emulationstudio sees the right rom in the /roms/zxspectrum directory and I can select it.
How and what fuse should be installed. Fuse starts ok in X and maybe my version of fuse is only for running in X?

ParticipantP.S. I see that by starting any emulator this error is displayed (on the prompt)
Error folder with path “home/pi/RetroPie/roms/fba is not a directory!ory!

KeymasterDid you use the binaries- or source-based installation?
Which other emulators did you try? The other emulator do work, even though you can see that message, don’t they?

ParticipantI did the first installation setup from:
https://github.com/retropie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/First-Installation
after I’ve installed Fuse.
The first message indeed I get always and the emulator is starting OK (only tested SNES at the moment..)
For the Spectrum I get the message above but after it goes back to the emulationstation gui.
Should I have installed the prepared image? Is there also the basis for the emulators installed like Fuse? Were can I find the proper place for the latest img?
Thanks a lot for the good work.

KeymasterI have updated the RetroPue script regarding Fuse now. I do not know why, but for now I am also only able to start Fuse via “xinit fuse”.
Someone an idea how to start Fuse without X?02/22/2013 at 15:43 #1235Rob 3st
ParticipantOn the Debian page I see there is also a common emulator..
http://packages.debian.org/nl/source/sid/fuse-emulator
Indeed the Fuse for Pi I’ve installed is the GTK+ one..
Don’t know if there is a common Fuse for the Pi.

ParticipantGot the 1.2 version running and Fuse is starting. The Spectrum screen is very small in the left corner. There is still this window around it. To resize Fuse (2x, 4x) doesn’t work. I noticed something different in the SNES rom. First it was possible to leave the game with the escape key on the keyboard but now this doesn’t work anymore, so without gamepad I don’t know how to leave the game to go back to the EStation.

Participantfound this link how to compile fuse in RaspPie
http://www.mwebb.me.uk/search/label/Raspberry%20Pi
“First thing to say is that it only runs full screen outside of LDXE”
That is what we want..

ParticipantI have managed to emulate ZX from ES using the SDL version of Fuse. It runs perfectly well.
