    Hi forum! (I am new to this forum and i have only basic knowledge about the PI, so please explain it to me like i’m a potatoe)

    Whenever i try to start a MAME rom, the pi goes blackscreen, then there it shows me “Error *** press a button to configure, or go to ***.log”

    I’ve read through the web and stumbled upon a “se_system.config” in wich i’m suppoused to change a line in, problem, i can’t find it. The path seems non-existant.

    I could really use some help, thankfull for every reply!!

    Have you rebuilt your roms with clrmamepro?

    Also what version of retropie are you running?

    it’s not “se_system.config”, it’s “es_system.config”, but i wouldn’t change it unless you’re sure what you’re doing :)

    what directory are your roms in? what mame emulator are you running? what does it say in /tmp/runcommand.log after you get this error?

    its actually es_systems.cfg Also I doubt it is a configuration issue with that, rather you likely put your roms in the wrong place or have the wrong romset.

    I haven’t, but i am using retropie 3.5

    i put them in the mame4all folder

    then you need to rebuild them for the .037b5 set with clrmamepro
