Hello,

Normally I have no issue setting the root password and then logging, but I’ve installed the new 3.4 image and set the password and I get an access denied:

pi@retropie:~ $ sudo passwd root
Enter new UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password:
passwd: password updated successfully
pi@retropie:~ $

Open another putty session:

login as: root
root@retropie’s password:
Access denied
root@retropie’s password:

What am I doing wrong?
