Sorry that was meant to be a /opt/retropie
I did try disabling and re enabling as well as use default.

Console showed this:

Sorry it’s opt/retropie/supplementary/splashscreen/8-bit-dragonberry/8bit-dragonberry.png

Pretty sure it’s /home/pi/retropie and I think the new version should be opt/retropie or something like that, thatd what got me thinking I havnt done something right here, it’s looking for the wrong folder and coming up empty since the update.
You didn’t answer my question – Did you reconfigure the splashscreen from the splashscreen settings in retropie-setup ? If you have updated from a version prior to some splashscreen changes you will need to reconfigure it.

menu 3 in retropie-setup – Configure Splashscreen, then choose a splashscreen.
Not as far as I know I updated the setup script, then when I didn’t see the splash screen went back into retropie setup, then splash screen option hit update splash screens then chose one from the list and restarted again with no luck. Sounds like I need to set it up after updating it then? How would I go about that, I’d say that’s why it’s still trying to grab the old splash screen directory.

Not sure on the version think it was from may this year, I did go through the retropie setup menu from ES, but this happened after I ran update setup script then did a re start and apon load up no more splash screen and you can see (very quickly) in the code that it couldn’t find the splash screen to load

I think they must as I have tried to pair both of them and only one will work at a time, I can still plug one in and that works fine, thought I would be able to hook up another Bluetooth dongle and hookup to that. There’s a few mobs on ebay selling them with longer usb dongles plug them both in and run replica controls, not sure if it’s Bluetooth or infared maybe?

Is there a way to connect two Bluetooth dongles and run two controllers? I tried plugging in two dongles but they seem to half work, only one controller pairs but the dongle act like I’m pairing to both of them as they both flash, maybe I need to setup the dongle so they know there separate?

I had that happen too,but it was a fast flash for a few seconds then it slowed down, once that happened I was able to configure input in ES menu as it detects a new controller.

When in ES and you disconnect the usb and press the p3 button what do the lights do on the controller?

That’s what I did install/pair then it will do its thing and come up with a message saying to connect controller via usb etc etc hit ok, restart and load into ES then disconnect cable and press p3 button wait few seconds and it should be ok, if not go to menu and configure control and it should say 1 gameplay detected then press and hold p3 button ☺
Good to here it is running! Gasia hack + led support is broken at the moment and i don’t know if it can be fixed.
Even if it can’t that’d fine as long as it works I don’t need the LED lights to tell me what player I am ☺ thanks again for helping us out with this issue.

My fault. You need to checkout another branch. Please try…

mkdir test
cd test
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/gizmo98/RetroPie-Setup.git
cd RetroPie-Setup
git pull
git checkout ps3-gasia-hack
sudo ./retropie_setup.sh
Champion,I did all that and didn’t think it worked, when I unplugged the control then pressed the p3 button it flashed all four lights fast and then went to a slower flash and just kept flashing then I tried the controls and they work perfectly, not sure how two controls will go but shouldn’t be too much of an issue hopefully, thanks heaps for the help mate.

I just gave that a go but after typing git clone etc. It said cloning into ‘retropie-setup’ then asks for user name and password? Which I do not have ? so it started to work lol

Ok sorted it out but still no go.thanks anyways.

Having the same issue, works fine wired. And if I press the ps button on any genuine Ps3 controller it pairs fine and works but the clone just flash’s until it stops with no sync and then have to restart the unit to use the controller wired again.

I had the same issue but once I restarted the unit and got back into retropie I then pressed the ps button and it paired fine, just had to setup the buttons again.I’m still having issues with non genuine ones though.
