Similar issue, did find the retroarch.cfg as indicated above ‘opt/retropie/configs/all’, however it seems to not be updated with the settings I’m using. It seems to just have the mappings for the keyboard, when I’m actually using a USB gamepad to navigate the menus (and the games).
Basically I just want to add a second gamepad, and add a way of exiting the emulator via the gamepad buttons. All of which I’ve read you need to edit the ‘retroarch.cfg’ file…

Is another copy of it located elsewhere? Or am I missing something?
