PageUp / PageDown RetroPie 3

Just upgraded (new Install with roms copied over) to Retropie 3 and setup controls in Emulation Station. Now from 2.6 the L and R buttons mapped to page up and page down when browsing roms. Is there a new way of doing this on RP 3?

I don’t believe this has changed in RP 3 so it should just work.
I have had some issues with this in the past as well but a simply reboot fixed it for me.

I noticed page up & down were inverted (at least on v3 beta 3 and 4), had to remap in my input.cfg

They are the right way round now in 3.0 final – there is a known bug they dont work until after restarting ES if configuring for the first time.

In the file es_input.cfg and this lines:

<input name=”pagedown” type=”button” id=”3″ value=”1″ />
<input name=”pageup” type=”button” id=”4″ value=”1″ />

Change id=”3″ and id=”4″ for your button id.

Works… I wonder why the Pageup/PageDown tags are not automatically mapping.

I had the same problem, and the fix listed above worked for me. There must be a bug where some users are losing automapping of page up and page down.
